Fire officials say good defensible space helped prevent a fire on the American River Parkway from spreading to homes this morning. Capt. Chris Quinn of the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said that fire was one of two fast-moving grass fires crews responded to within hours of each other. At 11:36
